   Twin Cities Public Television’s DRAGONFLYTV WINS TWO DAYTIME EMMYS

   Local talent honored for innovative children’s science show

ST. PAUL, Minn..— DragonflyTV, a national PBS kids’ science show produced by Twin Cities Public Television (tpt) won two national Daytime Emmy Awards at the 35th   Annual Awards ceremony presented at Lincoln Center on June 13.

Now in its 7th season, DragonflyTV encourages all kids to discover the wonders of science by rolling up their sleeves and exploring on their own.  Enjoyed by more than one million viewers per week, its fast-paced style, with wall-to-wall music and quick camera cuts, captures the interest of today’s media-savvy generation.

Twin Cities Public Television Names Vice President of Philanthropic Funding

ST. PAUL — Twin Cities Public Television (tpt) is pleased to announce the appointment of Claudia Cackler as the station’s Vice President of Philanthropic Funding.

Ms. Cackler was previously the Acting Vice President of Philanthropic Funding at tpt and has now been named to the position permanently.  Ms. Cackler oversees fund development including major gifts, Studio Society annual fund, planned giving, corporate and family foundations and special events.

Twin Cities Public Television Announces New General Counsel

ST. PAUL — Twin Cities Public Television (tpt) is pleased to announce the appointment of Allen Giles as the station’s new Vice President and General Counsel. 

Mr. Giles is a leader in both the American Bar Association and the Minnesota State Bar Association in the areas of public law and ethics.  His previous position was as General Counsel for the Minneapolis School District, a position he held since 1999.

Twin Cities Public Television’s Hoop Dreams tops list of 25 best documentaries of all time

   International Documentary Association vote demonstrates film’s lasting legacy


ST. PAUL—Hoop Dreams, the 1994 film co-produced by tpt about two African American teenagers and their struggle for basketball stardom, has been voted the best documentary in movie history by the International Documentary Association (IDA).
