No need to visit the toy store. You have all the ingredients in the kitchen cupboard, and making the play clay is half the fun!
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Flour
- 1/2 Cup Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Cream of Tartar
- 2 Tablespoons Oil
- 1 Cup Water
- 10 Drops Food Coloring
Directions:
- In a large bowl mix dry ingredients and set aside.
- In a saucepan, combine water, food coloring, and oil. Mix well while bringing the mixture almost to a boil. Turn off heat and add the dry ingredients. Stir until mixture is a smooth ball. Store in a sealed container to keep clay moist.
Hint: For cool party favors, give out the play clay in dashingly-decorated resealable containers.
Important note: Adult supervision and participation is required for this activity.
