Riley,
OH | Imagine things
When I imagine things, I see the things that I am staring at more
clearly.

DragonflyTV | Listen
up!
Most of us rely on our sense of sight to help us get safely through
they day. How keen is your sense of hearing? Can your sharpen your
listening skills? Some people can focus on school work only when
there is silence, while others need some music in the background.
Which kind of listener are you? Do a study among your classmates,
and tell us what you find out.

DragonflyTV | Pay Attention!
Can you pay attention to two things at once? That's what Maddie
and Martina wanted to find out. Watch an upcoming episode of DragonflyTV
to see their amazing findings. Thn try your own investigation, and
send your results to DragonflyTV. Or, submit it to your school's
Science Fair, and let us know how you do!

Cathy, 9, Wisconsin | Word
association
My sister and I play memory, and she's much better at it than I
am. I tried doing word association. Is there something else I can
do to improve my memory?
Doug, 11, Missouri | Word
association response
For English class I used to memorize vocabulary by rhyming the definition.
And my mom remembers peoples names by saying their name out
loud the first time they meet.

Sandy, 10, New York | Stroop effect
I tried an experiment at home called the Stroop Effect. If you see
the word RED, but its written in green can you say green?
Its hard, you want to say red instead. Why is it so difficult
to say Green, the color?
DragonflyTV
| Stroop effect
The words themselves have a strong influence over your ability to
say the color. The interference between the different information
(what the words say and the color of the words) your brain receives
causes a problem. Try testing the Stroop Effect on a young kid who
knows colors but has not learned to read!
