  Earthquakes

Leigh, WA | Earthquakes
Why are their earthquakes in Washington?

Lucy, KC | Earthquakes...Reply
I am not sure why there're earthquakes in Washington, but I think there's eathquakes in a lot of other places too. Maybe the DFTV people could help us. Bye! Lucy.

Well, the dept of geophysics at the University of Washington is the best source. Their FAQ page seems to deal with the inquirer’s question best of all: http://www.geophys.washington.edu/SEIS/PNSN/INFO_GENERAL/faq.html#1
The Pacific Northwest generally is an exciting place, geologically speaking, as a number of fault lines exist, as do volcanoes and mountains.
