Melissa, MI | Robot Suggestions
Regarding Battle bots and competitional robots: There's an amazing competition that's been around for a long time, even before Battle bots. It doesn't involve fighting robots, but impressive technological creations that compete against each other. Though this competition is for high schoolers (FIRST Robotics Competition), there is one for anyone ages 9-14 called FIRST LEGO League. It's SO much more exciting then just building a robot that you may never use in competition. It teaches problem solving, team work, and science. Regarding Materials for building a robot: Visit
http://www.parallaxinc.com! They have awesome robot kits that are highly porfessional and innovative, even for children! LEGO Mindstorm kits are also VERY good.

Frank, AZ | Robot Suggestions Part 2
In response to how to build your own robot, it is a fairly complex process. It requires good knowledge of metal working, so you can create the correct parts and weld them together. You need to know how to connect all of the motors, engines, and gears together so that they all work, and electornically connect them to a controller. Now, there are simpler robots you could build with legos or parts that snap together, so you don't have to know anything about metal working.

John, WI | Build a robot 2
I wondering how they built those battle robots? Could someone please tell me?

Bob Joe, AZ | Build a robot
how do you make a robot?

Dylen, 11, AZ | Robot out of RC Car
Do you have any ideas for building a robot out of a rc car?

DragonflyTV | Robot...reply out of RC Car
If you have the RC car already, you've got a good start. You might check with your local hobby store for parts to add other features to your robot, like programmable arms or light sensors. Sounds like fun!

Kathleen, AL | My First DFTV
I watched my first DFTV on 8/10/02 I just realized that I love technology, and would love to be on your show along with some of my friends. My favorite part of the show that I watched was the cool robot some girls made! Anyway, Ithink your show is the coolest, and willdefinetly be watching again soon!

DragonflyTV | My Frist DFTV response
We'd like to hear about any cool science you created because of the show. Simply submit your investigation in the Be on DFTV area of the DragonflyTV Web site. Thanks for watching!.

Mrsopinion, NJ | Skytrac inventor
I watched my first Dragonfly show on 6-30-02 WHYY TV PHILA...Really excellent job by all involved...
.If someone reads this message,I need the name and contact,if possible,of the inventor of the airfoil that was used to glide back to earth after jumping from an aircraft..

DragonflyTV | Skytrac inventor response
The inventor is David Urie, from California. We can't give out contact information
, sorry.

Nevan, 10, MN | Time travel
Is time travel possible?

Katie, 13, OH | Solar Car
I was thinking about doing the solar car for a science fair project and was wondering how you built the car and where you got the materials?

DragonflyTV | Solar Car response
You'd probably have to find a kit from a science supply store. Ask your teacher if he or she has a catalog. Examples of companies to check out are Nasco, and Edmund Scientific.

Ahmed, 12, CA | Holograms
Where do you get hologram materials from
