Decide what question you want to answer
science fair idea Now that you have some information under your belt, it's time to plan your investigation. Here are some basic guidelines to follow as you begin the planning process.

Think about the purpose of your investigation. What is the question you want to research? Try to write the question in the form: How does A relate to B?

For example, if you're interested in rockets think about a question that asks more than just, "How do rockets work?" Instead ask "How does the weight of a model rocket affect how high the rocket flies?"

Here are some other examples:

• How does the behavior of sea lions at the zoo relate to the type of fish the zookeepers feed them?

• How does your score on a memory test relate to how much exercise you do beforehand? next...
