science fair idea What's so great about science fairs?
Science fairs are about more than science. While inquiry is certainly at the heart of every successful science fair project, the really stellar projects combine science, math, writing, public speaking and flat-out creativity. As with many learning experiences, sometimes the process is just as important as the product. While preparing for a science fair, students build general critical thinking skills, have a chance to interact with teachers and parents on a new level, and may even form lasting friendships.
