earth and space coconauts


What did we find out?

The coconut vials were exposed to microgravity, extreme cold and radiation during their ten days in space. Most of the vials did not change much in weight and only a few changed in appearance. Some of the dry coconut pieces were charged with static electricity because they clung to the inside of the vial. Some of the coconut milk had turned color. One thing we realized was that we didn't keep any vials with us on Earth to see if the coconut changes on Earth the same way it did in space. more...
