Investigate night vision with infrared light. If you have a digital movie camera with a night vision option, use that to learn how things look in infrared light. Look at the appearance of plants, grass, water puddles, and rocks outside during the day using the regular camera option. Then go out at night and switch to night vision, and look at those things a second time. Pay special attention to the colors of things.
