the role of charter schools in Minnesota and around the country.

Rates Increase in Greater MN
- We'll
sit down with Todd Jones, U.S. Attorney and Peter Brout, State Attorney General's
Office about crime and gang activity in greater Minnesota, and how it differs
from crime in the Twin Cities.

was in St. Paul today to push school reform and to stump for Al Gore. He spoke
at the St. Paul City Academy, the nation's first charter school and NewsNight

- The
potentially dangerous fire conditions in and around the BWCA have Ely residents
struggling to balance the need for public safety with the desire to attract tourists.
Recently the town prepared for the worst by staging a mock evacuation of the city
and NewsNight was there!

- Two guys from
Minnesota have handcarved dozens of toys that will be seen by millions of people
in the made for TV Disney movie "Gepetto." They gave some cute kids
a ride on a really cool carousel and NewsNight was there!
